Bravo! I wish you guys all the best. I’m really glad to see that you’re doing so well. I have to get out to your place and taste those meatballs.

Place looks great! And good TV as well… great job!
September 4th, 2008 at 5:44 pm
What a great show… I’m happy that the restaurant is doing well now. And if the Mayor says you have the best meatballs in NJ, then you must! Although my grandma might have disagreed. We’ll be in to find out.

Looking to visit from south jersey this fall. I cant wait. Keep up the good work.
September 4th, 2008 at 5:48 pm
Looks great, we can’t wait to check the restaurant out next year when we visit NJ. I used to live in Ridgewood, now I’m in Goshen, Kentucky. We stumbled on the show accidently, looking for an alternative to the RNC. If only you could ship a meatball or two. Best of Luck to you.

Great show tonight guy’s! You’re wife was so distressed last time but it is obvious she supports the “dream”. You need that in a spouse no matter the end result.
It was great to see you pulled off a turn-around. I live too far away (South Florida) to go to your place but I would love to check it out someday! Great, great news!!

Im glad to see that your able to remain consistant and grow on everything Gordan brought to you. It must have been an honor and a lifesaver to have him dedicate that week to your business. I hope maybe I’m graced with that same restaurant blessing as you were! Congrats
September 4th, 2008 at 8:47 pm
Dear Joe: You do a great job as reflected in each meal we’ve had at Campagnia, and it’s nice to see our judgement validated by Gordon Ramsey on tonight’s show. Keep up the good work and we hope to be back to dine with you and your team soon.
September 5th, 2008 at 9:08 am
Watched Gordon last night and I’m so happy for you and your family with your ristorante…I wish you years of health and profit and happiness. Isn’t Gordon awesome….Love him. Would sure like some of those meatballs, guess you are going to start a mail order process next for your meatballs.
September 5th, 2008 at 9:46 am
Hi Joe,
Fellow Wayne Valley alum here, I hope you remember me. I meant to write after I happened to catch you the original show! Gordon can be such a brute and you came away relatively unscathed, which isn’t easy! So good to hear things are even better after the recap. The branding of the meatballs is absolutely brilliant, I hope to head out there and check them out sometime! Congrats on so many successes in your life and your lovely and supportive family. All the best, Jennifer
September 5th, 2008 at 4:39 pm
I think every previous poster is in full agreement that if we can’t make it to NJ to test the best meatballs… you need to get them to us! Looking forward to that service… Good to see things are going great. Best of luck for the future.

I’ve been a big fan of Gordon Ramsay since I discovered his ‘Kitchen Nightmares Revisited’ on BBCAmerica about six months ago. I took particular interest in this episode, as I still have relatives in the Fairlawn area. I was so impressed with the turn-around made with your hard work and efforts that I sent them a link to your restaurant’s website, in case they had not tuned in Thursday evening!
In closing, let me point out there is an IKEA store in Mission Valley, San Diego that features Swedish Meatballs on their cafe menu. They will NOT let a customer just order a serving of meatballs (although you can buy a frozen five pound bag to take home…)
September 5th, 2008 at 7:25 pm
I watched the show last season and the Chef’s return. I am so happy that you guys are making your dream come true. It truly is inspiring. By the way-Where’s the recipe for the meatballs??
September 6th, 2008 at 9:22 am
Opening hours are not listed in the website. Does anybody has that information?
September 6th, 2008 at 9:34 pm
Congratulations on your turnaround! I love seeing what has happened and what you have done with the place. My only question is how can I get my hands on some of those meatballs out here in the West?
September 17th, 2008 at 12:33 pm
I live in Iceland and am watching the first show you did right now
I´m happy to see that you´ve made it and everything looks so good for you guys. Hope they´ll show the episode when he revisits you.
September 22nd, 2008 at 1:14 pm
Also from Iceland. Just saw the first show and was happy to see how Gordon “Bocca-della-Verità” Ramsay changed your place - with the help of yourself and your team. Had the fear that pride would interfer with his changes the whole time. But like all people with tallent Joe saw that he could be much better. And swallowd his pride. You are probably getting better with every day now. But remember: The real challenge is in one year from now when everybody have forfotten the show, and you REALY have to live on your own merrit. Then you have to be MUCH better than now. You have to be getting better always…without making it a boring labour. Make it fun. And hope your coffee is good, great restaurant´s tend to forget about the coffee.
Will come and see you, I hope.

Congratulations! I just watched Gordon Ramsay’s return to your restaurant and I am so happy to see that you are thriving. Your family touched my heart when I watched your initial program and you deserve the success you are enjoying. I only wish I lived close by so I could try all of your dishes!
Best wishes,
Christine

Wow, what a wonderful show! It’s awesome to see such a great team. Gordon really motivated you to excel, and excel you did. As a fellow restauranteur (my husband is the Calabrese chef on our team), I salute you!
November 20th, 2008 at 7:12 pm
From all the way out in Canada. I just caught a rerun of the show, and of all the episodes, I LOVED this one. This is the first time I was compelled to google a restaurant from the show…any restaurant actually. The place looks phenominal, the staff really came together. I wish you all, nothing but the best. Im even considering taking a trip with a few friends to the US in a few months and it’s a VERY good possibility that Campania will be on my list of places to visit. Congradulations again on all your success. Ill be checking in regularly, want to make sure you’re all still doing well. Congrats
November 20th, 2008 at 7:14 pm

Way to go, and I wish you guys continued sucess! I am in philly and don’t make it out to NJ that much, but if I am ever in town I will make sure to stop by and try the meat balls! HA HA!

Hi Joe,
I just saw the show and I wish you and your staff a great future. Dont stop being the Chef/Boss. Your staff will respect you more if you are a leader and not there friend all the time. You have a family who needs you to provide. Your staff already wants the best for you, you just have to be the leader that everyone knows you are. Reach for the stars.

Loved this episode! It was obvious Gordon knew he was working with and guiding a special group of people. The menu sounds “oh so yummy”; and it’s only time for my breakfast. Love the blog idea and even happier to see you’re sharing some of your recipes. Will bookmark your blog for my food folder. Toasting you & your lovely family (and that includes your staff)

My wife and I eat out alot. We watch Kitchen Nightmares all the time. When we saw Campania’s, we said great, it not to far from us we have to go. So on 3/13/09 we went. I had the Sea Bass, my wife had the Shrimp, and my 4 year old daughter had spag., and meatballs. From the min. we walked in to Campania’s to the min. we left everything was great! The service was the best I ever had, the food was Out of This World, and the cheese cake,I ate mine and half of my daughters. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT!! I WILL BE BACK AGAIN,AGAIN,AND AGAIN!!! THANK YOU. Ray from Hasbrouck Hgts.,N.J.
March 29th, 2009 at 1:20 pm
Congrats on the success of your restaurant. Im glad to hear things have picked up and you werent forced to close your doors. Im a huge Ramsey fan and thought you(Joe), your staff, and overall restaurant came off MUCH better than most featured on Kitchen Nightmares…most, no matter what Gordon did, I would never even consider going to due to disgusting and dangerous probs with food storage and prep. not the case with Campania. Anyways, Buona fortuna!
BTW, your wife is about as cute as they get! Sorry couldnt help it
April 5th, 2009 at 8:56 pm
Hi there, I watched the first episode yesterday on the cable here in France, and, I really wanted to know if things kept going well for you…
I’m really glad to see things worked out good.
I can’t wait to see the second episode then…
Unfortunately I won”t be able to come for dinner tonight… I’m a bit too far…
April 15th, 2009 at 8:38 pm
Hey, I used to date a guy from Fairlawn long ago when we were in college. I grew up in Rutherford, then lived in Central Jersey before moving out here to New Mexico 10 years ago!
Wish I could visit and enjoy your restaurant! I’m watching the rerun of Kitchen Nightmares and enjoying seeing Ramsay helping you guys out…and glad to read here that things have turned around for you!
I’m Italian and make great meatballs, too! (But I’ve come to love Mexican food out here!)
Continued good luck!
April 15th, 2009 at 8:46 pm
I’m watching the rerun of Ramsey’s Nightmares on BBC America and just had to Google you to see how you’re doing. If your restaurant is anywhere near as awesome as your website, then you must be doing well!
I’m so glad you took onboard everything Gordon taught you and that it’s paying off for you. I just moved to New York from England, so I’m going to ask my Dad to drive us down one weekend so I can try out those meatballs!
Good luck guys. I’m so glad it’s working out for you.
April 24th, 2009 at 12:56 am
Hi guys,
Just watched the rerun of your appearance! Really enjoyed seeing you succeed, you look like a real fun bunch! I hope you’re still doing well!
