About the Chef

Chef/Owner Carlo Orrico, formerly of Sorrento in Rutherford, NJ, welcomes you to this newest creation, Campania.  A family run operation, Campania offers the best food prepared in an old world style with a fresh, homemade touch.

More than just a job, Carlo refers to his restaurant "as my home and everyone there my family." With more than twenty years in the business and primarily self taught, Carlo credits his success to really knowing his clientele. That knowledge allows him the freedom to experiment and be creative; to try something new everyday. He observes that dining today is more an event than just a meal and strives always to make the experience special and significant. Carlo has a word of advice for those wanting to break into the restaurant business: "there is no substitution for hands on experience... get to know the "business" - every aspect of it".
